• There is a segment of women who are high risk for breast cancer but difficult to screen effectively (10 - 20 % of the population).

• Standard imaging (even using the sophisticated PET imaging) is not sensitive enough to find small masses in these women.

• Dr. Raylman is developing a system to effectively diagnose breast cancer in women who are not well imaged by standard means.
